How to Apply for a Christmas Basket
ELIGIBILITY:
- Residents of zip codes 95815, 95833, 95834, 95835, & 95838
SIGN-UPS:
- An adult who lives in the house must come in person with all the proper documentation for everyone living in the house to apply for the basket
- We will begin the application process in early November; call for more details
DOCUMENTATION:
The adult making the application must bring:
- their photo ID
- Two CURRENT (October/November/December) items with name & address, such as rent receipt with rental agreement, utility bill, letters with legible postmark must be provided as proof of address for each adult living in the household
- One CURRENT (October/November/December) item with name and address, such as copy of school registration form, letter from doctor, school, etc. must be provided as proof of address for each child in the household.
- ***Please note that photo ID’s from schools, vaccination records, social security cards, and Medi-Cal cards do not have addresses and cannot be used for proof of address for children***
GENERAL INFORMATION:
- Only those who can prove that they live in the household can be put on the application
- We are unable to add people after the application has been completed
- Only one basket per household/address will be provided….families who are sharing housing will receive one basket based on the number of people living in the house
- At the time of registration, families will be given an appointment day and time in December to pick up their baskets
- We use the Salvation Army’s Clearing Bureau to screen applications. If a household is receiving Christmas assistance from another agency, they will not be eligible to receive a basket from Stanford Settlement
